Design Village mall Pulau Pinang

Assalammualaikum all
so this entry will be about Design Village, the open air concept mall at Bandar Cassia, Batu Kawan, Pulau Pinang.
The entry will mostly about architecture. Being me who hates shopping and an architectural student. That topic is the only thing that can be discussed here.

Design Village is a new concept of outlet mall, macam kt JPO. never been to JPO, but thats what people said. its an branded outlet. You can find all sorts of branded boutique here with a lot of choices with quite cheap too. or so they said. lebih kurang macamtu.

What interesting is that the design itself. a outlet mall with interior/exterior concept. open air. Setahu aku, takda lagi this kind of thing kt Malaysia ni. tapi kt luar negara its quite common.
Design yg cantik, lain dari yg lain.

For this entry not really going to talk about the aesthetic so much, but more to practicality. Honestly its an interesting concept, but its not really going to work.  WHy? ok takpe kita tgk dulu out look dia.

I went there not because i want to go shopping or what. Just following people. Want to see whats all the hype. Orang bercakap ttg benda ni, so might as well go look myself. For us in built environment people, theres been quite a lot people talking both good and bad things about this. orang biasa akan cuma cakap cantik & style. certain2 org akan cakap benda yang tak elok pasal design dia. cth bocor la, tak elok la, surau kecik la, jauh la etc. well im going to tell you just that.

Kt depan ni tak nampak welcoming sgt. Maybe sbb yg depan ni tak bukak lagi

 Between the blocks, the space filled with greeneries, can also be used as communal space

There are one or two that is both empty, spacious and covered with roof structures. can also act as exhibition or promotional mini expo.

 Theres plenty of kiosk selling snacks. Chatime is one of it.

The overall layout. Banyak lagi yg kosong tak bukak lagi 

Ada food court yg macam nak taknak aje. ada gak beberapa food truck. Proper eateries mcm starbuck, coffee bean, wendy's

Theres plenty of parking. Tapi yg banyaknya dlm building(multilevel) yg berbayar. sadly takda touch & go. koman betul. This layout yg dibuka. There another wing yg belum bukak. maybe tak siap sepenuhnya lagi. lagipun yg ni pun belum semua lot operational lagi. Hopefully wing yg baru tu ada proper food court dan bnyk lagi F&B outlet.

 basicly its just like shophouse. shop and corridor. With a few building blocks.

Boleh kata mcam nilai tiga, tapi compact & moden. Kt corridor pun ada kipas. sbb panas kan takda aircond.

The corridor lacks overhang or shading device. Waktu ni tak panas, redup je. Just imagine when its super hot noon/evening or its heavy rain. mesti panas. Bila, hujan pulak, mesti tempias.

 Theres quite a lot of seating which is good. But a lot of them kt luar. so kalau panas terik/hujan dah tak boleh duduk. silly isnt it? Thats why i said that this design did not consider the climate factor.

 ada byk kipas along the corridor. Ada la rasa berangin sikit.

 Certain ruang tengah (a bit like courtyard) have roof structures covering them.

Again the roof structure is so high and its not wide enough to cover the place if there is heavy rains with heavy winds, or evening sun.

 Waterbodies are well placed all over the mall. This one is a little too big isnt it? what for?
cooling effect maybe.

 There plenty of lots that still not open yet.

 Theres even a playground. That green is not grass, its artificial turf if im not mistaken. 

Masa pegi ni weekdays so, tak ramai sgt org.

This is the deco for CNY.

Surau dia kecik. tempat wudhuk kecik. dgn lantai dia bertakung air. FAIL!.

aku plg benci kalau org buat surau tak betul ni. Kalau pegi sini, baik takpayah solat sini. cari tempat lain. mmg kat situ tak masjid or surau. tmpat baru tu. mmg takda apa. kena pergi jauh sikit.

Building envelope ni style. its like a mesh/fabric.

So for the conclusion, its a great design but it will not be a 100% workable. Of course its so hard to achieve it with all sorts of problems and factors. But things like that shouldnt be overlooked. its so simple kot. I know the problem is budget constrain. But if you wanted something beautiful and it works, its not gonna be cheap. if its cheap and beautiful, it probably wont work. if its workable and cheap, it ain gonna be beautiful. So, theres no helping it. nak buat, buat betul2. for me whats the point of really flashy design if its not practical? For me its form follow function. you invest on the more important stuff, bab cantik tu letak tepi jap. kalau ada duit, then proceed.

I know that, if we did not at least try to be creative, sampai bila pun malaysian architecture tak akan maju, tak akan evolve. But in the long run, can we cope with the maintenance? Climate is a really important factors in design. Thats why it will not be the same to apply design of other country which have different climate to put here in malaysia.

Konvoi AFZ Ride Escort Persaraan Guru Besar SK Bedong, Gurun, Kedah

 Assalammualaikum bro dan sis sakalian

Tanggal 21 Febuari 2016, AFZ Performance Bikers telah mengadakan satu event ride sempena majlis persaraan guru besar sk bedong. Event ni simple aje. pegi ke skolah sk bedong, makan, lepas tu escort kereta guru besar ke rumah dia.

RV 11.00pg di bengkel AFZ Performance

sampai di SK Bedong.

bergambar dan makan. waktu ni majlis belum habis lagi kt dewan nun. kami buboh dulu.

masa tiba jemputan dan guru plak makan, kami standby pulak kt kawasan yg disediakan

bertolak.
orang lain punya moto bunyi garang je. aku je pakai ekzos standed. bunyi mesin jahit. haha, xpe la aku tumpang je deruman vtwin gabungan Akrapovic, Two Brothers, EJM, M4 dan lain. bunyi memang padu habis. kebanyakan blade, jadi memang bunyi macam ducati kot. tambah lak dgn kemerduan 4inline cbr dan z8. moto2 lain pun ada z250, skyline, er6.

aku igtkan dekat je la. rupanya jauh.. lepas gurun dah. dah mcm otw nak ke kota sarang semut dah.
dah la jauh, panas. bwk laju pulak tu. jenuh nak kejar.. hahahaahaaaa

da smpai rumah guru besar ada makan lagi. tp aku xmkn la. kenyang. xlarat. nnt mengah nak bawak moto balik. kui3...

asalanya cakap santai je.. tapi last skali laju gak diorg ni.. krianya aku last la... ni kali kedua aku konvoi. masa mula2 amek moto dulu akhir disember 2014 ada sekali. tp konvoi dari shell sungai dua sampai ke restoran route69 by the beach tu je. malam lak tu.  tapi tu dekat je. ada post sebelum ni. try r usha tgk. hehe
kedua2 konvoi ni mmg aku la last sekali. tapi diorg ni rilek je. siap bawak sebelah tangan je. aku ni da berpeluh2 nak kejar diorg.. hahahahaaaa.... adoi la....

ada video taw. aku pinjam sj4k kak aku. memula aku dah pening, kata mana la aku nak letak. nasib baik bro ritz cakap, boleh bagi mem dia pegang. hehe..

Peristiwa 2 mac 2015

Assalammualaikum all

todays entry is a bout something that occur on 2nd of march 2015. peristiwa yg takkan aku lupakan sampai bila2

aku terlibat dalam kemalangan. naza blade aku langgar myvi.

it all began on 2nd of march.
monday morning 8.19 am. i was preparing to go to work. it was routine.
sebab hari isinin, aku guna helmet KHI instead of laser fullface sbb helmet fullface ni fov(filed of view) dia a bit narrow, ssh nak tgk belakang, hari isnin jamm pagi2 lain macam, kereta bnyk, motor bnyk. xpkai jaket sbb panas sgt. safety gear lain yang ada pakai glove & boot.

so i made my way, traffic was okay because still in housing area. i usually cruise below 60km/h because its my nature, i dont like speeding. tambah pulak jalan pagi ni bnyk kereta. peak hour la katakan. baru keluar tak smpai 500m ada satu myvi tiba2 melintang buat u turn secara haram. xsempat brek wlpn slow, sbb dah dekat sgt, and boom!!!

its like blaking out but still standing. half concious.



its like in the movies. when the hero being hit with a bomb. vison dia blur, xdengar apa2 except dengung dlm telinga. org tanya apa2 xrespon tp sedar. blank & confused. ya the situation is liddat.


lepas a minute or two baru ok sikit. but still xigt.
that time i dont recall anything except bits of events and flashes of scenes.
i managed to take photo of the car and my bike and also call my parent.
back then i dont recall what i did and i was like how you get here?.
only later on those memories came back bit by bit.
the only thing that i still cant recall is how i fall and how i get up.

i was sent to the hospital via ambulance
had check up. xray and injection
alhamdulillah no broken bones, no internal bleeding, no joint dislocation no wounds or whatsoever
sakit2 sikit2 mcm tu aje. my head, my left arm, left rib, left shoulder.
 

after finished checkup, went to the traffic police station to lodge a report.
only then i met the lady driver that hit me. because immidietly after the incident she flee the scene, walk to her house like nothing happend, thats what the passerby told us. only the husband later on came. turns out that my parent knew him. nasib baik satu sekolah dgn mak &; org masjid jd abah pun kenal. nasib baik la dia ni baik orgnya. if not i dont know how my parent will react. confirm kena maki kaw2. sebab dah mmg terang2 salah dia pegi u turn kt situ buat apa? jalan besar, sibuk, siap ada double line, waktu peak hour pagi org nak pergi kerja. kalao pkul 10, 11 tu logik gak masa tu kurang kereta. even so, mmg org xkan buat u turn kt situ. mmg jln tu bsar tp bnyk gak kereta wlpn wktu biasa
i cant believe what kind of act is that. so fucking stupid! ridiculous.
aku yg bwk slow ni kena ja. shit betul. nasib baik xcedera teruk. kalu tidak mmg saman dah.

i think she was lucky to flee the scene. if not i think she would die confronting my parent there. bcos she have heart desease and have pacemaker in her heart. i tell you, if she confronted then and there with my parent she wud have heart attack and die... i dont want to make a big fuss of this no matter how much i hate the fact that im the one who kena, while she dont have any kind of injury and its totally her fault, and it is a stupid mistake, because that fact that the husband is a good person, kind and helpful and also a neighbor. kalo ikut hati nak lawan habis habisan nak saman dia smpai kena gantung lesen. sakit hati!!! marah!!! dan paling tak mau berulang kt orang lain. tu yg plg penting.
her action lagi menyakitkan hati. what kind of people, lepas langgar, tinggal kereta, jalan kaki balik rumah like nothing happened, lepas tu xjenguk pun org kt hospital, pergi buat report polis sendiri2, then kt balai baru jumpa. mintak maaf gitu2 je. xde nmpk mcm bersalah pun. if this happen to you how would you feel?
aku nk tggu official apology dari dia. nk tgk dlm smggu dua ni. apa action dia, kalau xde, aku xtau la ape next action aku. mungkin aku g umah dia mntk pampasan. medical fee free sbb hospital kerajaan. tp lpas ni tgk la kalo nak buat another check up. sbb hrtu cuma xray je. mybe nak buat ct scan kepala kalo pening2 ni berterusan. mintak dia tanggung semua la. report dah buat. salah mmg terang2 dah salah dia. bak kate org boleh menang besar. 

i see nowadays a lot of stupid people on the road. in general. tak kira la moto ke, kereta, lori, bas etc.
jenis yg suka speding, potong q, potong kiri, lalu emergency lane, parking merata, buat u turn sukahati, masuk lane xbagi signal, mencelah kiri kanan, dan mcm2 lagi. some action should be taken for this idiots on the road, especially the ones that endangering others mcm kes aku kena ni la. xpasal2.


but the saddest part is my bike. my baby.

duit boleh dicari
masa sebulan lebih tu boleh ditunggu
tapi aku rasa habis lah. mungkin smpai sini je lah kehidupan aku sbg rider
ssh la nak convince dah parent aku sal moto ni. family yg lain pun against bnda ni
honestly aku xtrauma pun, xserik. aku jiwa biker. biker kena kental. jiwa rider sejati yg tinggi.
things like this wont stop me. if you are rider, you will understand.
im recovering. so yeah.
the most important thing is my health. one piece. no broken or cracked bones, all limbs completely intact, no internal bleeding, nothing. just a little bruises and muscle pain.
theres nothing that medicine and time cant heal for this injury



 

trip penang

ari ahad baru2 ni baru blik dr case study trip ke penang. buat case study hotel. trip sendiri2 bukan official. yg official coming thursday. so drive sndri & byr sndri. ktorg kena cari hotel bukan calang2 pnya. hotel yg ktorg dok ni nama dia copthorne orchid hotel kt tanjung bungah

hari balik, esok nk kene present. ni ngah wat la ni. sambil2. keja group. so alang2 da sampai penang, ahli2 group aku pun sume nak makan so aku pun kepala otak pun nak makan gak la. habis la diet aku 5 hari hrtu. tp xpe. rilek. kte boleh bakar balik lepas tu.

ktorg smpai da lewat so lewat la buat keja. masa buat keja susah r. memula tggu HR. dia la yg bnyk tunjuk2. tu pun xlama kejap je. bnyk halangan buat keja ni. pegawai teknikal xde la ape la, bnyk ruang xleh msuk la... so dpt la basic je. sikit2 je leh la.

lpas tu ktorg round ke bt feringghi jap. jap je. mkn je. lpas tu trus g PISA.

 facade design die mcm membe aku punya stail design. yg ada mcm pattern & dynamic sket tu. mmg trademark membe aku tu, syukran. sjak dr sem 4 lg die pkai. & last sem, semester 8, convention centre dia nmpak agak sebijik mcm ni la....

mlm tu ktorg lepak umah aku tp seblum tu otw ke Kepala Batas singgah mnum petang kt Maklom. cendol dia mak oii.. punya la lemakk!!! sial la.... aku pun xtau kdai ni. murah plak tu mknn dia. ada bnyk mknn. cucur udang, apam balik, pulut udang, karipap, bihun sup, u name it man. semua jenis mknn petang dia ada. heaven lah. nnt aku nk g lah. tp rsnya aku dah lupa jalan dia.. aduiiii~ xpelah nnt carik balik lah...

utk mkn mlm tu mak aku masak. weeeee....
